InkTra® Opaque Inkjet Transfer Paper

Normally, InkTra Opaque paper works well with medium to large-size cut-outs. When the letter size is small or the images are more intricate and require the use of masking tape, we would only recommend InkTra Opaque Stretch.

InkTra Opaque Stretch is a thinner material, making it easier to cut and weed.  It is also the only of the two Opaque materials we offer for inkjet that we recommend for use with our Masking Tape.

There are two ways we suggest to remove an image with a masking tape.  The first is to print the paper (allow the paper to dry at least 30 minutes), cut and weed the excess material from the carrier sheet, and apply the masking tape with firm squeegee strokes.

The second method is usually recommended if the cutter is using too much force and can’t control the cutting strength, cutting into the liner of the carrier sheet, causing the film material to lift up the paper underneath it as well.  We recommended printing the paper (allow the paper to dry at least 30 minutes), cutting the paper, and before weeding, applying the masking tape with firm squeegee strokes.  Allow to rest for a minute or two and then reverse weed the material off the masking tape.  It is always important not to use too much force with the cutter, as even the 2nd method may not be deemed easy to weed.
